These terms govern your use of buildwithkat.com and any work we do together. The signed proposal for a specific engagement takes precedence over anything here.

Who we are

Build with Kat is a solo software development service operated by Kat, based in the United Arab Emirates. Contact: mgmtkati@gmail.com.

What we offer

Build with Kat designs and builds an MVP on a fixed price, in three weeks. Current packages:

• Web app — $5,000 USD. Full-stack Next.js web app on your domain. Auth, payments, hosting, and 14 days of post-launch support.
• iOS app — $8,000 USD. Native iOS app via Expo / React Native, including App Store submission, auth, payments, and 14 days of post-launch support.
• Web + iOS — $12,000 USD. Both packages above, sharing one backend.

Add-ons (e.g. branding) are quoted separately. Prices on the site are the source of truth at the time of quoting.

How an engagement starts

1. You book a free scoping call via the site.
2. If it's a fit, we send a written proposal — scope, timeline, deliverables, terms.
3. The engagement starts when you sign the proposal.

Until those steps are complete, nothing on this site is a binding offer.

What “3 weeks” means

Three weeks of focused, full-time build work, scheduled into your booked slot. The clock starts on the agreed kickoff date once we have what we need to start (brand assets, content, third-party accounts).

If we're blocked for material reasons outside our control, the timeline pauses until we can resume.

Scope and changes

The proposal defines what's in scope. Anything outside it is a change request. Small changes are usually absorbed at our discretion. Larger changes may need a separate quote and timeline.

Intellectual property

You own the code we ship to you. We retain:

• rights to generic, reusable components and patterns we authored that aren't specific to your business,
• our internal templates, scaffolds, and tooling,
• the right to mention the project (name, logo, screenshots) as a portfolio reference, unless you ask us not to in writing.

You're responsible for ensuring you have the rights to any content, brand assets, or materials you provide to us.

Confidentiality

We treat anything you share with us about your business as confidential and won't share it outside the engagement, except where strictly necessary to deliver it.

Warranties and disclaimer

We'll do our work with reasonable skill and care. The site and our services are provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties. Nothing on this site constitutes legal, financial, or business advice.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or related to an engagement is capped at the total fees you have paid for that engagement. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.

Post-launch support

Each package includes 14 days of post-launch bug fixes for issues that aren't caused by changes you make after handover. Ongoing support beyond that is quoted separately.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and any disputes are subject to the courts of the United Arab Emirates.

Changes

We may update these terms over time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the current version. Existing signed proposals are governed by the version in effect at signing.
